2012 has been a generally lackluster year for horror films thus far, with only one shining star to desperately cling to in The Cabin in the Woods (and let’s face it, even that wasn’t straight horror, brilliant as it was). Disappointments like The Woman in Black, The Devil Inside, and Silent House had promise and hype to spare, but just couldn’t bring the chills n’ thrills when the curtains rose. Many of us horror-ites may still be relishing in the surprise shocker from last year, Insidious, to get us through this dreadfully non-scary season. But take heart my readers, for this year is far from over and many things that go bump in the night are still to come…
