It’s been a long time since we saw our favorite universe protectors lace up the shiny black dress shoes and tighten their skinny black ties, but agents J and K of the Men in Black organization are finally back. Back in time, that is. This latest installment finds J (Will Smith) having to travel back to the 60’s to stop agent K (played by both Tommy Lee Jones and Josh Brolin) from being killed by an alien in dire need of a dentist, and who’s got a massive bone to pick with K for blasting his arm off a long, long time ago. It’s a wacky trip filled with new gadgets (the one-wheel motorcycles are friggin’ sweet), guns (just a regular hand-gun?) and aliens (who, as usual, are merely containing their disgusting alien bodies underneath a simple chef’s apron. Classy). The plot is leakier than the post-iceberg Titanic, but the effects are top-notch and all of the actors involved are obviously having a good time. So good a time, in fact, that it’s as infectious as an alien tapeworm from a shady noodle kitchen.Men in Black 3 will put a smile on your face, and may even make you gag once or twice.
