While many fans of Sam Raimi‘s cult-classic 1981 gore fest “The Evil Dead” are still up in arms at the very mention of a remake, others have accepted it and are now merely worried about the horror film’s “legit-ness”. Raimi, who is producing the remake which recently wrapped principle photography, told Collider that the remake is “…really bloody. It’s so bloody, it will make your head spin.”
He continued to discuss seeing all of the film’s uncut pieces and insisting that this new “Evil Dead” is really “going for it”. Raimi claims it is grisly and intense and non-stop. Just what the fans are looking for.
When asked if it would have to be rated R, Raimi didn’t hesitate to state, “Definitely R. Maybe worse”…
