Anchor Bay Films has finally released a trailer that takes us back to where all the “paranormal activity” really began – 300 years ago. Welcome to Salem, Massachusetts and Rob Zombie‘s latest film, “The Lords of Salem“.

The film, written and directed by Rob Zombie and produced by Blumhouse Productions (the geniuses behind “Paranormal Activity” and “Insidious”), stars Rob’s wife Sheri Moon Zombie as Heidi Hawthorne, a radio station DJ who receives a mysterious wooden box containing a vinyl record and a message: “a gift from the Lords”. Intrigued, she plays the record, believing it to be a local band trying to promote themselves, but instead to her horror realizes that the haunting sounds are triggering flashbacks of Salem’s disturbing past. She begins to question her sanity as it seems a three-hundred year-old coven of witches is descending on modern-day Salem, for revenge…
