According to a recent study done by the University of Westminster, watching horror movies can actually burn a significant amount of calories. Whoa!

Bloody Disgusting published the eye-popping (and waist-shrinking) story today that sites the increased pumping of adrenaline during tense scenes in horror films to burn lots of those unwanted calories. To quote the study, “viewers who put themselves through 90 minutes of adrenaline-pumping terror can use up as much as 113 calories, close to the amount burned during a half-hour walk and the equivalent to a chocolate bar”. So basically, you can sit down and watch your favorite scary movie while eating your favorite candy bar, and not even have to feel guilty!

The study measured the results on ten different people while they were subjected to a selection of frightening movies. And what were those movies, you ask?…
